Due to its location between glacier and the 300m high Austrian Alps, Zell am See-Kaprun is blessed with cool waters. At the heart of this alpine adventure are three mountains: the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier, the Schmittenhöhe and the Maiskogel. A total of around 400 kilometers of well signposted hiking trails lead through the mountains between the Pinzgauer Grasberge and the Hohe Tauern.

In Zell am See-Kaprun, all cyclists will find the perfect playground for their sport, on the 240 kilometers marked routes. The versatile landscape offers easy terrain as well as gentle mountain routes and crisp challenges in the high alpine terrain including the connection to the 2,000-kilometer cycle path network of the Hohe Tauern - perfect for pleasure cyclists, racing bike fans, sporty mountain bikers and adventurous downhill riders.
